It all stated with a temperature controller for some of the Li-Ion battery chargers for our thickness measuring hand-held machines.
The batteries gets heated up profusely while charging.
The life of these batteries are very less.
The OEM says there is nothing wrong with the machines.
The less life is due to high heat charging.
So we devised this temperature controller which simply cuts of the
charger when the temperature reaches in between 45 to 50 Deg C.
The TMP36 is so placed in the charger rack that it touches the first battery body.
4 batteries are charged at a time.
This temperature controller can do many more works like a colleague of us made a prototype of it to control his rice cooker whose thermostat does not work any more.
He removed the thermostat and placed the TMP36 in it's frame along with a buzzer.
